PH trade team visits Al Maya Supermarket

A high-level trade delegation from the Philippines visited a big supermarket in the United Arab Emirates, to enhance business opportunities for Philippine traders.

The team led by Philippine consul general Paul Raymund Cortes visited Al Maya Supermarket at Murooj Complex, ahead of the upcoming Gulfood 2020 exhibition.

Cortes’ team wants to find ways to further enhance business opportunities with Al Maya Group in the UAE, said Kamal Vachani, group director of Al Maya Group (https://www.khaleejtimes.com/business/local/philippine-trade-team-visits-al-maya-supermarket).

Vachani received the Philippine delegation at the supermarket, where they met with the buyers team of Al Maya Group.

The delegation was impressed with the setup of Al Maya Supermarkets and appreciated the efforts taken by the group in promoting products from the Philippines in the UAE.

Vachani noted products from the Philippines have been increasing in popularity, not only among the Filipino community, but also among other nationalities.

Al Maya Group will be exhibiting at Gulfood 2020, the region’s premier food and beverage show in Hall 6 at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) from Feb. 16 to 20.
